HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

THE BIRTH OF CCC

Dr. Bernard’s strong business background helped pave the way. Before launching his ministry, he built a thriving career in finance. After working his way up to operations specialist in the consumer lending division at a major New York bank, Pastor Bernard and wife Karen left behind the safety of their comfortable lives, drawing on savings to open a small storefront church in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

From there, through hard work and God’s blessing, the church mushroomed, outgrowing one facility after another—from a high school auditorium to a Days Inn Motel, from the Salvation Army auditorium to a renovated supermarket on Linden Boulevard.

TODAY AND BEYOND

PRESENT & FUTURE OF CCC

In just a few years, CCC has been transformed from a storefront to an 11.5-acre campus in Brooklyn, just one phase of a master plan to elevate this community and its people. Rev. Bernard’s plans include 700 units of affordable housing, as well as commercial and additional residential space. CCC also has a satellite location on Long Island, with plans for more satellite locations in the future.
